OUR MINISTRIES

 

For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we,being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.

(Rom. 12:4-5)

ministers

 

This auxiliary is for those who are called by God to hold office in ministry. They are authorized by the church to perform clergy functions such as teaching of beliefs; performing services such as weddings, baptisms or funerals; or otherwise providing spiritual guidance to the community.

deacons

 

This auxiliary is for those appointed to and actively serve in the position of a Deacon. A deacon's ministry is to assist the bishop and has a major role in the collection and distribution of alms. He may also proclaim and preach the Good News, assist at Holy Communion.

mothers

 

It is the job of the Mothers to help maintain a hospitable atmosphere for all those who enter the church. Their job includes instructing the younger saints how to properly conduct themselves, preparing meals for fellowship and communion, and extending help to those in need through prayer, visitation, and the distribution of alms.

music

 

The Ministry of Music's purpose is to help set an atmosphere conducive for worsip through the singing of songs and playing of instruments. The purpose is not to entertain those in attendance, but rather to lead the congregation and encourage their participation in worship.

ushers

 

Ushers are lay members who assist the Pastor and ministers in greeting, receiving the offering and other tasks including directing people to their seats, distributing programs, answering questions and assisting people in finding restrooms and amenities. They are also on hand to direct and guide audience members in case of emergencies.

youth

 

This auxiliary is designed to minister to young people on a level that is easier to understand. The goal is to keep them engaged and excited about serving God by getting involved in church activities.
