OUR PASTOR

DR. JEWELL GRANBERRY is the Founder and Pastor of Walking In Faith International Worship Center in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. She stands on Hebrews 11:1-3. Her vision for Walking In Faith is to heal the broken hearted, set those that are captive free, and to restore through the Word of God what the locust and canker worm have taken from the people of God. Bishop Granberry stands firm on this: if we believe some of the Bible to be true, then we must believe the whole Bible. It is the gateway to life.

Jewell, as her friends fondly call her, is a native of Nashville. She has two children and two grandchildren. She was baptized at the age of twelve by the late J.T. Easley at Watson Grove M.B. Church where she served in the choir.

Some years later she united with Holy Trinity U.M.B. Church where her son was a faithful member and she served as an usher until her call to minstry in 1990. Jewell was licensed to preach in 1991 by the late Bishop Robert E. Smith. She was ordained in 1993 in New Orleans, Lousisiana under the Metropolitan Spiritual Churches of Christ by the late Archbishop Aurthur L. Posey.

Pastor Granberry is a licensed Nursing Home Administrator, receiving a degree in Health Care Administration from Western Kentucky University. She stayed in the healthcare industry for over twenty years working in different capacities: Technician Activity Director, Social Worker, Administrator, and friend. She has compassion for people, especially those that are unable to care for themselves.

Pastor Granberry has attended several biblical schools and received diplomas and certificates including A.B.S, B.TH, and D.D. She currently serves as the Executive Dean for the Dr. Willie Robbins School of Biblical Studes.

In March of 2011 Pastor Granberry was consecrated to the office of Bishop at New Beginning Baptist Church in Nashville by Archbishop Jack. C. Stafford, former Viacar General of the Liberal Catholic Apostolic Church, Disoce of the Holy Spirit. She currently sits with the International College of Bishops of the Metropolitan Spiritual Churches of Christ, Inc., where she is the State Bishop for Tennessee.

OUR CHURCH

  • MISSION STATEMENT

Our Mission is to bring people to Christ and to free those who are held captive. We aim to provide hope in hopeless situations and to replace joy for sorrow. As Jesus is the Light of the World, so shall be the saints of God for those who are in darkness. God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth. (John 4:24)

  • BELIEFS

We believe the Biblical fact that God is a Spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.

We believe the fact that God is Love, and all we do and say should be done in Love, this being our strength and power.

We believe that all sickness comes from sin and disobedience of Nature's (God's) physical and spiritual laws.

We believe that the fact that the change called death is only a gateway to life, that Spirit was never born and, therefore, can never die.
